Port of Rauma has participated in the Efficient Flow project funded by the EU.
The project was designed to improve the efficiency of maritime transportation between Finland and Sweden.
RESULTS OF THE PROJECT
- The project has ended.
- The final conference for the project was organised on 4 June 2021, providing a presentation of the results of the project and an introduction to the port solution. There were almost 100 participants at the conference, from 26 different countries.
- The Port Activity App™ developed in the project is a digital application for the sharing of information before and during arrival in the port. The sharing of information among the port operators utilising the app improves the efficiency of planning activities for all the parties.
- The Port Activity App™ of Efficient Flow has been published and is available for free from app stores.
- The application is made as open source, see documentation: https://port-activity.github.io.
- The aim of the Efficient Flow project has been to improve communication between port operators when a vessel calls at the port.
- Finntraffic will continue the development of the project’s end result, the Port Activity App™, also after the completion of the project.
- The final report for the Efficient Flow project can be accessed via this link.
