Project objectives ​

• Develop port infrastructure by removing the current bottlenecks of insufficient cargo field area and congestion in the port 
• Enable meeting the current and future demand of increased cargo volumes of break bulk, especially from the forest industry 
• Allow construction of a new quay with several berths for large-sized bulk cargo vessels to handle the expected growth 
• Increase the efficiency of break bulk maritime transport and further decrease the emitted emissions per transported cargo tonne
