JANNE VIRTA APPOINTED NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR OF PORT OF RAUMA
Mr. Janne Virta, engineer, eMBA, has been appointed the new Managing Director of Port of Rauma. Mr. Virta currently holds the position of Commercial Director at Euroports Finland Oy and will transfer to the new post at a date to be separately agreed on. Mr. Hannu Asumalahti, who is the Managing Director of Port of Rauma at present, will retire by the end of the year.
“Janne Virta’s long and versatile experience in the harbour sector and his good personal qualities make him an excellent Managing Director to continue and further develop the operation of Port of Rauma”, remarks Mr. Jari Laiho, the Chairperson of the Port of Rauma’s Board of Directors. “The investments made in the port ensure our excellent capabilities to increase cooperation with existing customers and to offer opportunities to new operators. We believe Janne’s strong expertise will help us achieve this goal.”
